Course Info

The online certification is open for enrollment at any time, allowing you to certify from anywhere in the country. The online course is also launched annually with special offers. To complete the certification, you need access to a pole. Our courses include lifetime access, meaning you can purchase the course today and complete it entirely at your own pace. Unlike many other certifications, you will not lose access after 12 months if you are unable to finish within that time.

Prior knowledge

Students must be at least 23 years old, have a minimum of one year of pole experience, and possess a skill level equivalent to high intermediate. You should have experience training independently, be comfortable with spinning poles, and able to perform your own warm-up routine.

Mentor

The course instructor will support you, and each student receives exclusive 1:1 coaching throughout the course. Guidance is provided via Google Meet and tailored to your progression. The instructor can be contacted at any time for questions or concerns.

Exams
To receive your certification, you must complete the online program, and pass both the theoretical and the practical exam. Certified instructors will receive a certificate and be featured on our website.

Failed certification

We have a well-structured follow-up process to ensure you get the support you need to complete the course. If one or both exams do not meet the minimum requirements, you will have the opportunity to retake them.

Our certification program equips you to teach adult students (18+) at beginner and low-intermediate levels, on both static and spinning poles. You will develop a solid understanding of anatomy and physiology related to pole, as well as how to apply theoretical knowledge in practice. Upon completing the program, you will be confident in your ability to teach students, understand injuries, engage the correct muscle groups, guide technical execution, and adapt your teaching in a professional and pedagogical manner. With a varied selection of pole exercises, you will feel confident providing safe and effective instruction in pole fitness, spinning pole, choreography, private sessions, and events.

Course Content

History of pole

Learn about the rich history of pole and how it has evolved over time.

Equipment and installation

Gain in-depth knowledge of different poles and materials, learn how to install poles, and conduct safety checks. Understand the aspects of safe training when using equipment, maintenance, appropriate training attire, and grip products.

Anatomy and physiology

In our instructor training, you will receive a thorough introduction to the body's structure and the biomechanical anatomy related to pole. Learn about muscles and tissues, and how they work together to create powerful and controlled movements. We delve deep into anatomy, including how various joints are structured, their functions, and how they support specific movements in pole. You will also learn about different types of muscle contractions, how they contribute to strength and balance, as well as how to prevent injuries and ensure a safe and effective workout through a proper understanding of muscle compensation.

Strength for pole

Learn how to build strength with over 25 different strength exercises using a pole! Prepare for more advanced tricks, and understand the validity of cross training. You will learn the principles of progressive loading, allowing you to develop your skills and ensure steady progression.

Flexibility for pole

We guide you through the basic principles that make flexibility an essential part of pole training. The course introduces various flexibility techniques, the benefits of increased mobility, and practical tips for steady progression and effective development.

Injuries and recovery

Gain insight into how injuries can occur due to overuse, trauma, or lack of adequate preparation. Learn how to train safely with injuries, optimize recovery, and understand which types of pain are not dangerous. The course covers common injuries in pole, degrees of muscle strain, and provides guidance on injury risk and the instructor's responsibility in teaching. You will also receive practical advice on how to adjust training to minimize the risk of injury.

Physical Conditions

Manage hypermobility in pole dancers with deeper understanding, better facilitation, and safer training methods. Gain insight into how hypermobility affects joints and connective tissue, and learn to adapt training for students who are pregnant or have reduced mobility.

Grip techniques and body positions

With 34 different grip techniques and body positions, you will gain a good introduction to how small adjustments can make a big difference. Become better acquainted with the fundamental method "push and pull," which allows you to navigate with control and dynamics on the pole. Learn also why the popular grip 'split grip' carries a high risk of injury and why it should not be introduced to beginners.

Teaching Methodology

Pole fitness techniques

The course provides a detailed overview of 112 pole fitness techniques. Each exercise includes which muscles are used, contact points, and step-by-step instructions. You will learn how to adapt the exercises to students’ levels using regression and progression, as well as get suggestions for variations. Additionally, you will find spotting techniques that demonstrate how to safely assist students physically when needed.

Choreography

Explore the process of expressing yourself through movement. Learn how to assemble steps to develop choreography step by step, including music selection and adaptation to students’ skill levels. Further, discuss how to demonstrate and teach the choreography, as well as the importance of using simple movements and transitions for beginners.

Spinning pole

The training in spinning pole focuses on balance, core control, and techniques for handling the pole's rotation. Participants receive a gradual introduction to spinning, with simple management of spinning tolerance, as well as an understanding of how gravity affects movements. Gain insights into how the direction of spinning impacts the execution of tricks, as well as how to create momentum.

Registration

This certification is designed for pole enthusiasts with a high skill level who want to take the next step and become instructors. However, if you don’t meet all the requirements right now, you can still enroll! You can start the training immediately, and we will guide and support you along the way, helping you develop the skills and confidence you need to complete the certification.



Requirements to receive the certification:

📌 You are at least 23 years old

📌 Have a minimum of 1 year of pole fitness training experience

📌 Possess high-intermediate or advanced skill level

📌 Be comfortable and have control with spinning pole

📌 Master safe and controlled entries, exits, and transitions

📌 Can combine multiple moves into sequences

📌 Have experience training independently and performing your own warm-up routine

You are responsible for meeting the requirements; during the certification, you will need to demonstrate your skills through practical tasks.
If you are not approved the first time, you will receive guidance on what to practice further, and you can try again.
